Editorial and Medical Review Policy
Who writes and reviews this content
Every answer in this library is written and medically reviewed by Zahraa Sater, M.D., M.P.H., a board-certified endocrinologist (American Board of Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism) and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Content reflects her own clinical judgment, not a generic template.
How we review
Each answer carries the date it was last reviewed and the date its next review is due. Clinical answers are reviewed on a fixed cadence:
| Content | Review interval |
|---|---|
| GLP-1 and obesity medicine | 12 months |
| Other clinical topics | 24 months |
| Access, cost and licensure | 6 months, or immediately on change |
How we source
Answers cite specialty society guidelines first (for example the American Thyroid Association, the Endocrine Society, the ADA Standards of Care, The Menopause Society), then government and regulator sources (the FDA, NIDDK, MedlinePlus, USPSTF), then peer-reviewed primary literature with a PMID or DOI. We do not cite content farms, supplement sellers or unverified summaries.
Corrections
If a fact here is wrong or out of date, we correct it and update the review date. To flag an error, contact the practice through the details in the site footer.
Use of AI
No answer is published from an automated draft without physician review. A licensed physician reviews and signs every answer before it carries her name.
Financial interest disclosure
Dr. Sater's practice offers the services described in this content, including consultations, the Root Cause Obesity Management Program, and expert second opinions. Where an answer argues against a paid intervention, it carries no call to action.
Not individual medical advice
This library is educational. It is not a substitute for individual medical advice, diagnosis or treatment from your own clinician.
